If you are a Disney fan, this quilt is for you!  Because this pattern is not endorsed by Disney, we have to call them Boy Mouse and Girl Mouse.  You have your choice of making the large 77″ x 77″ quilt or the smaller 34″ x 34″ quilt.  The pattern has directions for both the boy and girl, however, the sizing is for using 5″ squares to make the larger quilt.  I made the smaller girl quilt using 2 1/2″ squares and I will share the adjusted sizes if you want to make the smaller quilt.  Join me in sharing the magic!

Fabric/Supplies List:

Boy Large 77″ x 77″

(1) Layer Cake or (42) 10″ Square  OR a variety of fat quarters, scraps and/or 1/4 yard cuts in fabrics of your choice;  you will need a total of (150) 5″ squares

3 yards background

3/4 yard binding

Girl Large 77″ x 77″

(136) 5″ squares and (21) 5″ squares for the bow

3 yards Background

3/4 yard binding

Small 34″ x 34″ Boy or Girl

A variety of scraps, fat quarters or 1/6 yard cuts in fabrics of your choice

Boy Mouse (150) 2 1/2″ squares

Girl Mouse (136) 2 1/2″ squares and (21) 2 1/2″ squares for the bow

1 yard background fabric

1/3 yard binding

In my sample, I used the same red with small white polka dot fabric for all the squares in the bow; but I scrappied the blacks I used for the body & head.  You can scrappy the reds if desired.

If you want a scrappier look, use a larger number of different prints.  or, you can use fewer prints, but you will need more of each.
