Pattern Fee: $10.00 – Instructor will have them in class for you.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Finished size: Child Size 5 up to an Adult Size 10
Extremely comfortable to wear, and a wonderful way to use up lots of the leftover scrap pieces of batting. I use leather or suede for the sole of the slipper. I will bring some of mine and you can use some for $5.00. (I for sure will bring black, and will bring a few other colors as I have room.) My own family loves these so much that they keep track of who received the most recent pair, and you can believe I hear about it if they think they got skipped! The pattern can be adapted to fit a child size 5 up to an adult size 10. I will have the sizes printed as templates for students to trace the size they need for class. You can finish a pair in class!
3/8 yard (1/4 yard for child size) minky for the inside of the slipper. You need the width on this, but you can get 2 pairs out of 3/8 of a yard.
3/8 yard for the outside of the slipper. (I have been able to use a FQ if it wasn’t directional on the smaller sizes.)
8 1/2″ x 1″ piece of suede or leather for size 8 or smaller. (10″ x 13″ for the bigger sizes)
3/8 yard batting or scraps, but at least one piece needs to be 12-13″ wide by 24″
Binder Clips – THESE ARE ESSENTIAL! You will want at least 20-30.
Heavy duty sewing machine needle. Get at least 16/100, but 18/110 would be best.
