To honor the year of the TP shortages, let’s make a wall-hanging or table-runner.  Easy piecing and applique.  Instructions will be for fusible applique but you are welcome to use your preferred method.  Have some fun while reminiscing about the crazy pandemic year of 2020.

Fabric/Supplies List:

Sewing machine in good working order

Basic sewing supplies

Good quality thread for piecing

Rotary cutting supplies – mat and sharp rotary cutter

Steam-a-Seam 2 or other applique tools

Fabric:  This is great for scraps and fat quarters or fat eighths.

Blocks:  four squares of prints or batiks for the background

Strip Border:  1/8 yard

Dark accent border:  1/2 yard

Wide Border:  1/4 yard

Corners:  12″ square

Rolls:  Toilet Paper (white or light), side of toilet paper (white or light), dark center for roll opening, brown for the empty roll.  These can be uniform, or use up some scraps.  We will make FOUR rolls of TP.  This can be expanded to a full-size quilt if desired.
