Description: Come join that crazy paper-piecer, Ruth Davis, and learn how to create your own paper pieced patterns! This is a drawing class in which we will discuss how to create original patterns using a ruler, pencil and graph paper. (Maybe an eraser.) Learn a new technique that will take your skills to the next level! **It is helpful to be familiar with paper piecing in general.
Fabric/Supply Requirements:
- Graph paper (preferably 1/4″ grid)
- Ruler (12″ school type ruler)
- Mechanical Pencil
- Eraser
- You can use a light box at home if you want to add 1/4″ borders for seam allowance to your patterns after they are designed. I will demonstrate procedure for future use. Any ideas on patterns you want to create. I will walk students through procedure individually as time allows.
