Description: During this power hour, we will learn the big stitch quilting technique. If you would like, you can use the optional kit to make a fun Hawaiian 18″ square pillow. (The top will need to be assembled before class.) Alternatively, you can bring a small (12″ – 20″ or so) top to practice stitching on. This top needs to be constructed with simple squares sewn together. For example, cut 2 1/2″ or 3 1/2″ squares as shown in the picture. You will also need a layer of batting and backing at least 2″ larger than your top to stitch together. I will have some needles, crochet thread, and 505 basting spray for you to try or you can bring your own.
