Skill Level: Intermediate

Pattern Fee: $12.00

Description: In this power hour, we will be making one block from the Turtle Bay Hexagon Quilt. From here, you can go on to make the entire quilt, make 2 or 3 more blocks for a table runner, or use the one block as a table topper. We will be learning different techniques for sewing a y-seam. Y-seams do not have to be scary, but they are not for a true beginner. While you do need to purchase the pattern, we will have a ruler that you can borrow at our booth ahead of time to cut out your triangles and hexagon. You will also need to have 6 nine patch blocks sewn together before class and bring them with you. You can purchase the optional kit from Machelle Preston (801-362-6988) which includes the pattern.
