Description:

Inspired by an antique quilt from Ken Burns quilt collection, this quilt, Colonial or Whig Rose dates to the early to mid-19th century. This is a back-to-basics applique classs. make freezer paper templates and learn easy to make vine and needle turn applique techniques. It’s a peaceful quilt to stitch and a perfect project to take on the go. The block may be made into a quilt, a pillow or framed art.

Fabric/Supply Requirements:

  • 3 1/4 yards muslin for the background
  • 1 1/2 yards green fabric for oak leaves, vine and half square triangle border
  • 1/3 yard yellow fabric for flower centers and inner flowers
  • 1/4 yard light pink for the inner flowers
  • 1 yard dark coral pink for flowers and binding
  • 4 yards backing
