Description: I love how this quilt looks like there are many different blocks in it when there is only 1! The original quilt was made with only a few (5) color choices. I used 13 fat quarters and I love the way it turned out. You could use your stash or use 5 colors. It’s all fun! I’ll throw in a few tips as we work on the block to give you a good start on this fun quilt.

Fabric Requirements:

To make a scrappy looking quilt:

  • 12 fat quarters
  • 1/8 yard or 1 fat quarter for center square (if you want them all the same)
  • 2 1/4 yard background fabric
  • 7/8 yard border
  • 5/8 yard binding
  • 3 1/2 yard backing

To make all blocks the same:

  • 2 1/4 yard background
  • 1 1/4 yard Color 2
  • 1/2 yard Color 3
  • 3/4 yard Color 4
  • 1/8 yard Color 5
  • 7/8 yard border
  • 5/8 yard binding
  • 3 1/2 yard backing
  • Sewing machine in good working order (don’t forget the power cord)
  • New machine needle
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Marking too
  • 6 1/2″ square ruler or larger
  • 12″ ruler or larger
