Description: This basket block is a fun way to use scraps in an organized way. The kit is made up of parts of 5 different coordinating jelly rolls for the dark fabrics and yardage of 5 different “light” fabrics to create a fabulously scrappy quilt. In class, we will talk about some unique challenges with making scrappy quilts as well as enjoy sewing a no-stress pattern. This pattern is a larger version of one in a great book by Kim Brackett on scrap quilts.
**NOTE** Because this quilt is so scrappy, the kit does not include binding. We will have coordinating fabric available for purchase if desired.
Fabric/Supply Requirements:
- 65 “light” 2 1/2″ strips
- 48 “dark” 2 1/2″ strips
- 4 yards backing
- 3/4 yards binding
