Description: This pattern mixes a basic Irish chain with other steps to create an allusion of squares. It uses a variety of blocks and I use some neat, speedy tricks that beginners can learn to accomplish more in less time. With some precutting and prepping, this quilt could possibly be well on it’s way to have the main body assembled at the retreat.
Fabric Requirements:
- White background: 3 1/2 yards
- Red or your choice: 1 1/2 yards
- Blue or your choice: 1 yard
- Black: 1 1/2 yards
- Green or your choice: 1 yard
- Border: 1 yard (I used the same red as in the block.)
- Thread to match your colors
- Basic Sewing equipment
- Your own favorite rulers like, 6×6 inch, 6×24, 10×10 or 12×12 for squaring up the blocks
- CHOCOLATE!
- Maybe a Coke! (Just kidding!)
