Description: Ready to finally love the last step of your quilt? Join Deonn for a joyful, idea-packed workshop to help transform your edges from “done” to delightfully dazzling!

We’ll start with the basics, mastering mitered corners and demystifying that tricky final seam. Then, we’ll get creative with five fun “alternate endings” ~ scallops & prairie points, facing, faux-piping, DIY chenille, curvy edges ~ just a handful of the 16 techniques featured in Deonn’s book, “Ultimate Binding & Edge-Finishing Guide”. Get ready to tackle all your binding challenges and sew with confidence to the very last stitch!

Fabric/Supply List:

  • Fabric: 3/8 yard (May also use two fat quarters) – layer with batting and quilt prior to class
  • Print A: 1/2 yard coordinating small print, tone on tone, or solid to match the quilted fabric
  • Print B: 1/4 yard coordinating/contrasting solid color (dyed, not printed) fabric

***NOTE*** Optional pre-quilted, precut KITS may be purchased from Deonn.

  • Sewing Machine in good working order
  • Basic Sewing Kit – including pins, clips, small sharp scissors that clip to the tip, a washable glue stick, neutral or matching thread, a chop stick or point turner, and Pinking Shears if you have them.
  • Sewing Machine Feet – Quarter-inch quilter’s foot (I love mine with a guide on the side.) Edge-joining or “Stitch in the Ditch” foot (center guide bar), Stitching guide bar (that strange “L-shaped” bar that probably came with the machine). *** Don’t worry if you don’t have them, but bring them if you do. ***
