14 – Seasonal Candle Mat/Trays

Description: These candle mats can be used as a candle mat or will fit in a decorative tray. You will bring your own tray. You can buy one at Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, Amazon or maybe you already have one. These patterns can be adjusted to fit any size tray. Here are some measurement sizes I like. 14″ x 18″, 12 1/2″ x 16″, 12 1/2″ x 20 1/2″. We will be making the HOME seasonal charms one, but I have other patterns available that you can make instead. Just email me and I will send you pictures.

Fabric/Supply Requirements:

Fabric requirements will vary depending on the size of quilt you want to make – detailed list will be emailed to class participants.

• 12″ x 19″ back wool or wool felt/background
• 12″ x 20″ cream wool or wool felt/bkg for HOME
• 12″ x 20″ freezer paper
• 1/2 yard heat and bond lite
• 10″ x 15″ black wool for letters
• (5) 3″ x 4 1/2″ black wool squares

Listed are different colors for each charm, but you can use any color choice.

Wool Pieces (use your scraps)

• 3″ x 4 1/2″ Tulip – pink, purple, dk and light greens/stems
• 3″ x 4 1/2″ Pineapple – Yellow or gold, green/leaves
• 3″ x 4 1/2″ House – Red, brown or black, gold, green
• 3″ x 4 1/2″ Heart – Red, white
• 3″ x 4 1/2″ Pumpkin – Orange, blue-star
• Black Sharpie
• Threads – floss or your thread of choice. I will bring some.
