Description: This is a fun, quirky, raw-edge applique class using bold print scraps a couple of fat quarters and a big imagination to create your very own one of a kind, kinda gal. A refreshing class where there are no rules and no boundaries. In class, I will give you a quick demonstration and show some tips and tricks to help you make your very own unique art piece. No two are alike as we don’t use a pattern and it’s truly easier than you think. Quilt and finish your Fancy Face after class however you like as a wall hanging, pillow or tote.
Fabric/Supply Requirements:
- Foam board from Dollar Tree or portable design board
- 2 Fat Quarters – 1 for the background and 1 for the face
- Small sharp scissors
- Tweezers
- Applique fusible (I will supply and demonstrate Mistyfuse, my favorite) but if you prefer steam-a-seam or Wonderunder, please bring your own
- Small tote of bold print scrap fabric – flowers, animals, fruit, buildings, cars, fish, anything big and bold . . . . even “ugly” fabric can be fun and transformed
