Description: This technique comes from our illustrious quilter, Kathy Porter! She taught her eagle class at Winter Quit Retreat several years ago. Patsy Shelton challenged me to create a pattern using the same technique and the “Western Screech Owl” was the result! Thank you to Kathy for her fabulous technique!!!!
Fabric Requirements:
- Paper and fabric scissors
- Multiple 1/8-1/4″ strips of brown fabrics (no batiks as they don’t unravel well), we will swap these with each other . . .
- Fat Quarter for Sky
- 3 fat quarters of tree trunk (light, medium and dark)
- 1/2 yard wood grain fabric for border
- Washable glue stick
- 1 yard Steam a Seam 2 Light
